Environment Ministry Launches Date Palm Harvesting Initiative in Qassim

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture’s office in Riyadh Al-Khabra Governorate, Qassim Region, launched a date palm harvesting initiative, coinciding with the ongoing Al-Khabra and Riyadh Al-Khabra Dates Festival.

 The initiative aims to localize agricultural professions, empower local youth with job skills, and preserve regional farming heritage. Through specialized training programs combining theoretical instruction and field practice, participants gain hands-on experience in modern date harvesting and collection techniques.

 By developing youth capabilities and qualifying local cadres, the program supports the sustainability and value chain of the palm and date sector, enhancing its economic and social contributions across the region.
