
Sierra Leone President Receives Saudi Fund for Development Delegation
President Dr. Julius Maada Bio of the Republic of Sierra Leone received today a delegation from the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), headed by Executive Director of the Strategy and Development Sector Dr. Abdullah Al-Sakran, in a meeting attended by Chargé d’Affaires at the Saudi Embassy in Sierra Leone Ali Alheji.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the SFD's participation in the Third Africa High-Level Forum on South-South and Triangular Cooperation for Sustainable Development.
President Bio received a briefing on the SFD's more than 40 years of activity and its significant impact on vital development sectors in Sierra Leone.
Al-Sakran also held meetings with Sierra Leone's ministers of planning and economic development, health, and agriculture to discuss mutual development initiatives.
Since 1985, the SFD has extended six development loans to Sierra Leone, totaling over SAR218 million, to support five development projects and programs.
