Muslim World League Condemns Targeting of World Food Programme Convoy in Sudan
The Muslim World League (MWL) strongly condemned the targeting of a World Food Programme (WFP) aid convoy by the Rapid Support Forces in North Kordofan, Sudan.
In a statement, MWL Secretary-General and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa denounced the heinous act, describing it as a grave violation of religious values and international humanitarian laws and norms.
He reiterated MWL's firm stance and that of Muslim peoples worldwide, rejecting and condemning all attacks on civilians, relief organizations, and humanitarian personnel. He stressed the need to adhere to the provisions of the "Jeddah Declaration" and relevant international laws to protect civilians and ensure the security of humanitarian corridors in Sudan.
