120-Meter Fountain Makes Al-Wadi Resort a Global Tourist Landmark in Aseer
Al-Wadi Resort in Aseer Region has inaugurated the second-tallest fountain in the Middle East, the tallest in the Kingdom, and the third tallest in the world. Reaching a height of 120 meters, the fountain was developed at a cost of more than SAR16 million and pumps over 7 million liters of water.
The inauguration marks a key milestone in an integrated tourism project spanning more than 300,000 square meters. The development features gardens, farms, restaurants, cafés, a theater, and indoor event halls.
The resort also includes a 60,000-square-meter heritage village designed to reflect the authentic cultural heritage of Aseer Region. It features shops and traditional markets showcasing the region's heritage, in addition to a comprehensive museum scheduled to open next month, highlighting Aseer's history and cultural legacy.
The resort offers diverse daily entertainment featuring dancing fountain shows, theatrical performances, and a variety of other activities, running daily from 1:00 p.m. until midnight. These attractions contribute to boosting tourism and enriching the visitor experience during the summer season.
The project reflects the private sector's role as a key partner in supporting national development through investment in high-quality tourism projects that stimulate economic activity and strengthen Aseer's position as one of the Kingdom's leading tourist destinations, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to develop the tourism sector and enhance the quality of life.
