Riyadh Region Governor Launches 2026 National Greening Season

Governor of Riyadh Region Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz launched the region's 2026 National Greening Season, organized by the National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification.

 The initiative builds on national efforts to achieve the Saudi Green Initiative's goals by developing vegetation cover, curbing land degradation, encouraging the planting of native, eco-friendly flora, raising awareness of sound environmental practices, and fostering a culture of volunteerism.

 The governor highlighted the significance of the National Greening Season and commended the efforts dedicated to environmental conservation and vegetation development.

 He emphasized the importance of enhancing community participation and encouraging citizens, residents, and civil society organizations to contribute to environmental protection and sustainability.
