Jeddah to Host 2026–2027 Formula E Championship Opener in December
Tickets are now on sale for the Jeddah E-Prix, which will kick off the 2026–2027 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship season at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit on December 18 and 19, marking the first time Jeddah hosts the championship's opening rounds.
The event features the GEN4 car's global competitive debut, the most powerful in the championship's history, with an output of up to 600 kW and 0-100 km/h acceleration in 1.8 seconds. The season also introduces a new race format titled "E-Prix Unleashed" alongside traditional E-Prix races.
The 3.001 km Jeddah Corniche Circuit, featuring 19 turns, will host the first two rounds of the new season as night races under floodlights. The event includes a fan zone with interactive and family programs alongside post-race performances.
Acting CEO of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation Eng. Mansour Almokbel said hosting the opening rounds reflects the Kingdom's growing role in shaping the future of motorsport and hosting world championships.
