Grape Production Drives Hail Region's Agricultural Growth
Hail Region holds a prominent position on the Kingdom's agricultural map, supported by fertile soil, abundant groundwater, and diverse climate conditions that have attracted agricultural investment and contributed to food security goals under Saudi Vision 2030.
The region ranks third among the Kingdom's regions in grape production, with a cultivated area of approximately 3,000 hectares and annual production exceeding 12,000 tons.
Among the region's leading agricultural investments is the Anaqeed farm, established in 1982. The farm contains around 9,000 grapevines producing approximately 120 tons annually across several grape varieties.
Farm owner Ayman Al-Sudairi noted plans to expand production capacity using modern drip irrigation systems, adding that harvesting runs from June through August and products are marketed across the Kingdom.
