Vice Foreign Minister Holds Meeting with Japan's Senior Deputy Foreign Minister in Tokyo

 A Saudi Arabia–Japan Vice-Ministerial Meeting was held in Tokyo, headed by Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Waleed Elkhereiji on the Saudi side and Senior Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Diplomatic Advisor to the Prime Minister Hiroyuki Namazu on the Japanese side, with Saudi Ambassador to Japan Dr. Ghazi Faisal Binzagr in attendance.
 Within the framework of the Japan–Saudi Strategic Partnership, both sides affirmed their determination to continue strengthening bilateral relations in a wide range of fields, including political affairs, security, energy, and advanced technologies. They agreed that Japan and Saudi Arabia would continue to work closely together.
 They also exchanged views on regional and international issues of common interest, including the situation in the Middle East, particularly developments in the Red Sea, as well as the Indo-Pacific.
 Regarding the situation in the Middle East, the two sides stressed the importance of immediate de-escalation and ensuring freedom and safety of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz without incurring any additional charges.
