National Cultural Book Project Serves Nearly Two Million Beneficiaries across Saudi Arabia

King Abdulaziz Public Library has reviewed the efforts of the national cultural project for the renewal of our relationship with the book and its role in cultural development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, highlighting the impact of its various events over 16 years, from 2010 to 2026, and its activities covering various regions.
 The project focuses on promoting reading, reinforcing religious and national values, showcasing the development and nation-building that has accompanied the Kingdom's journey, and strengthening cultural and national identity and awareness.
 According to the library's statistical report, the project includes the mobile library program, mobile learning resources program, a meeting point for their reading experiences program, the free reading festival, as well as other cultural programs and forums.
 Through these programs, the project has achieved notable cultural accomplishments, bringing books to large numbers of people from various age groups and social backgrounds.
 The project, launched by the King Abdulaziz Public Library on April 27, 2003, aims to connect various segments of society, particularly students, by creating an environment conducive to creativity, encouraging young people to read as a pathway to knowledge, and strengthening interaction between readers and books as a primary source of knowledge and future generations.
 The project also contributes to enhancing identity and belonging, introducing national achievements from the past and present, and providing access to sciences, literature, and the arts through diverse books offered to readers by mobile libraries. It represents a continuation of a number of innovative ideas introduced by the library to reach various segments of society and encourage continuous reading.
