SDRPY Signs Agreement for Digital Empowerment of Yemeni Teachers

The Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) signed an agreement with King Abdulaziz University's Almobdioon Center for Studies and Research to implement a digital empowerment project for Yemeni teachers.
The project aims to strengthen the capabilities of 500 male and female teachers in Aden, Hadhramout, Al-Mahra, and Socotra in the field of modern digital technologies. It also seeks to enhance their professional and technical proficiency in the educational process.
SDRPY General Supervisor Mohammed bin Saeed Al Jaber and Almobdioon Center CEO Esam Kawther represented their respective sides during the signing ceremony. Yemen's Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Afrah Al-Zouba and Deputy Minister of Education for the Training Sector Zaid Qahtan joined remotely.
The project will help enhance teachers' technical and professional skills through a specialized training program that combines in-person instruction with virtual learning. The program will enable educators to effectively integrate modern technologies into the classroom.
The training program includes two main tracks. The first focuses on artificial intelligence and specialized content generation, equipping teachers with the skills to utilize AI tools in developing educational materials.
The second focuses on digital instructional design, enabling participants to create and produce interactive digital learning content in line with the latest educational practices.
The project is part of SDRPY's broader efforts to support Yemen's education sector and strengthen human capital through sustainable development projects and initiatives. These efforts help strengthen national capabilities and keep pace with digital and technological transformation in education.
