Palestinian Presidency Urges UN Security Council to Take Immediate Action to Halt Israeli Violations

The Palestinian Presidency held the Israeli occupation authorities fully responsible for the worsening humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip amid continued aggression and blockade, as displaced people’s tents were flooded by rainwater and they lacked safe shelter, heating, and basic necessities.

The presidency called on the UN Security Council to take immediate action to halt Israeli violations, compel the Israeli government to fulfill its obligations, open all border crossings to allow the unrestricted entry of humanitarian, medical, and relief aid, and provide international protection for the Palestinian people.

The Palestinian Presidency stressed that the continued humanitarian suffering and deprivation of Palestinians of the most basic necessities of life resulted from the occupation’s ongoing aggressive policies, obstruction of humanitarian and relief aid, and failure to comply with the UN Security Council resolution and US President Donald Trump’s plan for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, necessitating urgent international action to end the suffering.
