From Idea to Impact: Saudi Media Forum Explores Innovative Initiatives at The Storm Room
The Saudi Media Forum, through its The Storm Room initiative, hosted a workshop titled “From Idea to Impact,” bringing together leading media professionals, academics, journalists, and experts in investment, communications, innovation, and content to explore the evolving needs of the media industry and identify ideas with the potential to develop into impactful and sustainable initiatives.
The workshop was attended by Saudi Media Forum President Mohammed Al-Harthi, who emphasized that the real challenge is not simply generating ideas, but turning promising concepts into initiatives capable of delivering tangible impact.
“Brainstorming sessions may generate dozens of ideas, but the real challenge is identifying and developing those that can be transformed into initiatives that create meaningful impact and serve the media industry,” Al-Harthi said.
He noted that the media industry is undergoing the fastest transformation in its history, with profound changes affecting the structure of the industry, content creation, audience engagement, trust-building, data processing, and the adoption of artificial intelligence.
Al-Harthi stressed the importance of keeping pace with these developments by creating initiatives that respond to the demands of an evolving media landscape and address the opportunities and challenges emerging from rapid technological change.
The workshop opened with an introductory session highlighting the Saudi Media Forum's journey, key achievements, and major initiatives. It was followed by a series of brainstorming sessions examining the needs of the media industry and exploring ways to develop sustainable initiatives aligned with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
Discussions focused on moving promising ideas beyond the brainstorming stage and toward development, implementation, and measurable impact. The workshop concluded with an emphasis on transforming viable concepts into sustainable media initiatives and projects capable of contributing to the future development of the industry.
