The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Addresses Citizens, Residents, and Muslims on Holy Month of Ramadan
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud addressed citizens, residents, and Muslims across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and around the world on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan 1447 AH.
The speech, delivered by Minister of Media Salman Al-Dossary, reads as follows:
"In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Praise be to Allah, and may peace and blessings be upon His Messenger, his family, and all his companions.
My brothers and sisters, citizens and residents of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Muslims around the world,
Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.
We wish to congratulate you on the advent of the blessed Ramadan, a month in which the gates of Paradise are opened and which contains a night better than a thousand months. We ask Allah Almighty to assist us in fasting, praying, and performing acts of worship.
We praise Allah Almighty for bestowing upon our blessed country the honor of serving the two holy mosques and their visitors, including pilgrims and Umrah performers. We will continue, with Allah's help, on this steadfast path established by the leaders of this nation.
Muslims,
The month of Ramadan is a magnificent occasion for purifying souls, performing righteous deeds, strengthening compassion and solidarity, and thanking Allah Almighty for His visible and unseen blessings.
We ask Allah Almighty to bless us in this virtuous month, to accept our good deeds, and to perpetuate security and prosperity in our country. We also pray that He grants peace and stability to our brothers and sisters in Palestine, the Muslim Ummah, and the entire world.
Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you."
