Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development Showcases Digital Services for People with Disabilities on Purple Saturday

 The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development highlighted its integrated digital services platform for people with disabilities, offering beneficiaries streamlined access to financial, in-kind, educational, healthcare, mobility, and empowerment services through electronic channels.

 The ministry said access to the services begins with a disability assessment, which serves as the primary eligibility requirement. Once the assessment is completed, beneficiaries can apply electronically for a range of services in accordance with the approved eligibility criteria.

 Among the services available is monthly financial assistance for eligible individuals registered with the ministry. The ministry also provides exemptions from fees for domestic worker visas, residency permits and renewals, and exit and re-entry visas for eligible beneficiaries.

 To support mobility, the ministry offers public transport fare reductions and the fully digital Tasheelat card, which enables registered beneficiaries to receive a 50% discount on public transportation fares, priority access at government service centers, and access to designated parking spaces for people with disabilities across the Kingdom without the need to visit a ministry branch. The ministry also issues a digital autism spectrum disorder certificate, allowing eligible beneficiaries to receive priority services at hospitals, healthcare centers, and other facilities throughout the Kingdom.

 As part of its efforts to promote independence and inclusion, the ministry provides an electronic service for requesting assistive devices and enables eligible individuals to apply for admission to day social care centers during designated registration periods. In addition, the ministry offers an electronically authenticated disability certificate, which beneficiaries can download, print instantly, or receive via email for official use.

 To support higher education, the ministry also provides a service enabling students with disabilities enrolled in public universities, colleges, or government scholarship programs to obtain official documentation confirming their eligibility for the monthly student allowance, subject to the applicable terms and conditions.

 The ministry reaffirmed that all services require a valid disability assessment and are delivered through digital channels to facilitate access, improve service efficiency, and support the Kingdom's efforts to enhance the quality of life and inclusion of people with disabilities.
