Health Minister Opens Third Saudi Model of Care Forum in Riyadh
Minister of Health Fahad AlJalajel opened the third edition of the Saudi Model of Care Forum, aimed at improving healthcare service quality and accessibility in line with the Health Sector Transformation Program and the Saudi Vision 2030.
In his opening speech, AlJalajel highlighted the significant impact of the Saudi healthcare model, noting a 40% reduction in mortality from chronic diseases, a 60% decrease in road traffic fatalities, a 50% reduction in deaths from infectious diseases, and a 30% reduction in deaths from other injuries. He also emphasized that life expectancy in Saudi Arabia has now risen to 79.7 years.
The forum, held in Riyadh from February 10 to 11, serves as a key platform to showcase advancements and innovations in the Saudi healthcare model, exchange expertise, and strengthen collaboration among service providers, all of which enhance the efficiency and sustainability of the healthcare system and solidify the Kingdom’s role as a global leader in healthcare development.
