Education, Industry Ministers Launch ‘Mawhiba Summer’ in 19 Cities in Saudi Arabia and Abroad
Minister of Education Yousef Al-Benyan and Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef, together with several other officials, on Sunday launched “Mawhiba Summer” program, organized by King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity “Mawhiba”.
The program will be held in 19 cities across Saudi Arabia and abroad in cooperation with a select group of academic and research institutions.
Mawhiba Summer comprises a range of enrichment and scientific programs, including the Mawhiba Academic Enrichment Program, Mawhiba Research Enrichment Program, Mawhiba Universal Enrichment Program, Mawhiba Ambassadors Program, the Game Development Program, and other technology programs.
They are delivered through four specialized tracks: Human Health, Leadership in Energy and Industry, Environmental Sustainability and Basic Needs, and Future Economies, in line with Saudi Arabia's national priorities for research, development, and innovation.
Minister Al-Benyan said Mawhiba Summer program provides a specialized pathway to enrich the knowledge of gifted students and develop their skills in stimulating learning environments through 88 enrichment units delivered in Saudi Arabia and abroad for more than 12,000 gifted male and female students.
He added that the programs reflect the effective partnership between the Ministry of Education, Mawhiba, and relevant stakeholders in preparing a generation capable of competing in science and knowledge-based fields.
